porch makeover.

for living in a one bedroom apartment, we have a pretty decent sized patio with room for seating and planting and even the dog :) We did use it quite a bit last year, but everything was sort of haphazardly arranged and it doubled as storage. So, since it was a nice Sunday yesterday, Dave and I decided to give our porch a little makeover!

Dave snagged some milk crates for me to make a tiered set up so all the plants will get sun :)

dill, some really pretty alyssum, and a cute little garden turtle from my Mom.

a window box screwed into the wall hold lettuce.

an over head shot of my little garden corner. 11 pots in all!

hanging basket number one with snapdragons and petunias.

the much prettier hanging basket of snapdragons, marigolds, and asparagus fern.

our little sitting area. we used the coolers fold out table as our table since we have to store it on the porch anyways. you will also see a couple metal signs, various grill tools, and if it were dark new rope lighting!!

a new grill! ok, so it's still small and was only $15 but our old one was kaput! We grilled steaks last night and trust me this did a GREAT job!

on another note the buttons are here and will be available in the shop tomorrow!! Also look for Take a walk Tuesday tomorrow and pictures of my garden plot on Wednesday:) Now off for pizza.
